JOPRO to Host Innovation Panel at ACM NYCWiC 2025
Bridging Academia, Industry, and Startups Through Early-Career Perspectives
Innovation Panel @ ACM’s NYCWC 2025
We are pleased to announce that JOPRO Director Jesse Parent will be organizing and moderating a featured panel at the Association for Computing Machinery’s New York Celebration of Women in Computing (NYCWiC) 2025. The panel, titled "Navigating Innovation Spaces: A Discussion on Finding Your Way When Building & Creating across Industry, Academia, and Startup Environments," will bring together early-career researchers and professionals to share insights from their diverse experiences across innovation ecosystems.
“Innovation space are vital to our future, but also somewhat complicated and everyone’s initial exposure to them can be quite different,” Parent said of the Panel. “We’ve assembled an exciting group of panelists, and I’m thrilled to be hosting this conversation at NYCWiC, a community that consistently fosters inclusive, early-career engagement with the technologies and ideas shaping tomorrow.”
The panel will feature five speakers working across different sectors, including former Orthogonal Research and Education Lab intern Samantha Carollo, who completed her internship while a senior at the University at Albany, SUNY.
